Challenge: Mitigating DDoS Attacks for Our Client Using RioRey Appliances
Our client was experiencing periodical DDoS attacks, which caused disruptions to their operations and services. To address this issue, we were approached to provide a solution that would defend against these attacks and mitigate the risks.
Description and Scope of Work:
To address the challenge, we recommended the deployment of RioRey appliances, which included installing the RioRey defense system and working with a DDoS defense service provider to block the attacks. The project involved the following steps:
- Evaluation of the client’s existing network infrastructure to identify potential vulnerabilities and compatibility issues that could arise with the deployment of RioRey appliances.
- Recommendation of suitable hardware and software specifications, based on the client’s specific needs and requirements.
- Testing and configuring the RioRey appliances, ensuring compatibility and data security.
- Collaborating with the DDoS defense service provider to block the attacks while maintaining service to end-users. The team utilized BGP protocol to reroute traffic and minimize the impact of the attacks on the client’s network infrastructure.
- Providing training and support to the client’s IT staff to handle future maintenance and upgrades independently.
Tools and Technologies Used:
The project utilized RioRey RS10, RS30 DDoS defense appliances, and a DDoS defense service provider to mitigate the attacks. The team also utilized BGP protocol to reroute traffic and minimize the impact of the attacks on the client’s network infrastructure.
