Establishing a CDN Network for Video Delivery for a Customer
Our team was tasked with helping a company with a centralized video server farm to optimize video delivery and reduce costs by establishing a customized CDN network. The traditional CDN solution was becoming too expensive, and long distances were causing latency issues that prevented the streaming of high-quality video to end customers.
Description and Scope of Work:
- Analyzed the market and identified regions and continents with the most traffic
- Worked with multiple local colocation providers to choose the most suitable company
- Established peering with local Internet carriers
- Shipped required equipment and built colocation in each chosen data center
- Built a CDN node in each colocation and connected to local carriers
- Worked with software developers to activate new CDN nodes for video delivery
