Structure of backup system

There are many ways to backup data, depending on your network configuration and we're going to describe server-based backup system that would consist of:

• Slave servers to backup

• Backup server

• Tape library

The backup server collects data from slave servers, compress data, stores it on its temporal storage, and writes them to tape library. Besides of these operations, backup server also builds schedule for full and incremental backups.
